Forged steel gate valve is used to cut off or connect the media. Valves with different materials can be separately applied to different media, such as water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, oxidizing media, urea and so on.
Forged steel gate valve has these following three connections:
First: welded connection. With the advantage of no external leakage, this kind of connection requires body and bonnet all-welded sealed.
Second: forged connection.
Valve with this connection requires body and bonnet bolted, spiral wound gasket sealed and the advantage is easy maintenance.
Third: pressure self- tightening type. This connection requires body and bonnet screw mosquito connected. And the advantage is that if the internal pressure is bigger, the seal performance would be better.
Installation notes of forged steel gate valve:
1 The hand of various types of manual valves mounted on the thermal insulation pipe shall not be down.
2 The installation position, altitude, import and export direction must meet the design requirements, and the connection should be firmly tight.
3 Forged steel gate valve must be visually inspected before installation, and the valve plate should be consistent with existing national standards "Universal Valve Logo" of GB 12220 requirements.
