Selection Criteria for Pressure Reducing Valve:
1. For soft sealed
pressure reducing valve, it is not allowed to have leakage problems within the specified time, while for metal sealed pressure reducing valve, its leakage should be less than 0.5% of maximum flow;
2. When the export flow changes, the outlet pressure deviation of direct-acting type is not more than 20%, pilot type is less than 10%;
3. When the inlet pressure changes, the outlet pressure deviation of direct-acting type is less than 10% while pilot type is less than 5%;
4. Pressure reducing valve, with a wide range of applications, can be used in steam, compressed air, industrial gas, water, oil and many other liquid media equipment and pipelines. And the amount of medium flowing through the valve at the outlet is generally expressed in mass flow or volume flow;
5. Pilot piston pressure reducing valve is suitable for steam, air and water medium of all kinds of pressure, various calibers and temperature, if it is made of acid-resistant stainless steel, then it will be suitable for a variety of corrosive media;
6. Pilot bellows-type pressure reducing valve is suitable for steam, air and other media of low pressure and small and medium calibers;
7. Pilot film type pressure reducing valve is suitable for steam, water and other media of low and medium pressure and small and medium calibers;
8. As for pressure reducing valve, its inlet pressure fluctuation should be controlled at 80% to 105% of the inlet pressure set point, if not, its early performance will be affected;
9. Each spring only works in a certain outlet pressure scope, if beyond, you should replace the spring;
10. If the medium was in high temperature situation, then you should use pilot piston type or pilot bellows type pressure reducing valve;
11. If the medium was air or water (liquid), generally, you should directly choose film type or pilot film type pressure reducing valve;
12. If the medium was steam, you should use the pilot piston type or pilot bellows type pressure reducing valve;
13. Normally, pressure reducing valve should be installed on horizontal pipelines for easy operation, adjustment and maintenance.
